Hi there! I’m a 27 year old Mexican from Scotland. Currently I’m a full time PhD research student in Electronics & Electrical Engineering at the University of Glasgow. I’m a sociable, honest and passionate guy who loves and enjoys life, that likes to make quality friendships, with several virtues but perhaps more defects. I speak fluently English and Spanish and can get by with French and German conversations. I’ve lived so far in Mexico, the United States, Germany, Hungary, Austria, and Scotland (quite different reasons for every case). I have Mexican, Chinese and Spanish heritage; however, I truly identify myeslf with my country and its people despite their differences and its problems, so I’m 100% Mexican. My humour is sort of black and sarcastic. I usually either like or dislike someone and I’m not afraid to show it at all. I can’t stand hypocrisy, racism, stupidity, routine, pretentiousness, or lack of genuinity (or genuineness). My passions are football and to travel; music is my constant. I enjoy showing off my footy skills once in a while. Been told that I’m a good salsa dancer everywhere except in Latin America. I’m one of those guys who is hungry all the time. I am a women admirer in all senses, capable of writing them poetry or to travel half a world away when in love. I like cheap beer while hanging out with friends but can also appreciate the after taste of a good wine - or a good single malt whatsoever. Also, I’m a nerd/geek several hours a day, trying hard to prove myself otherwise… failing most of times, except during my leisure time. I usually remember the most random details - most of them useless, but sometimes can’t recall a name of someone I just met after two minutes of conversation.

Once an utopic dreamer with loads of ideals and illusions, the world just slapped me in the face and turned me into what I am now.

Siempre me da mucho gusto encontrar paisanos.
Muchos saludos desde el soleado México.

    Hi Cor,

There are indeed people in charge of the society.
You can contact the comms secretary at guinternational@gla.ac.uk

However I think you have us confused with someone else. Why would you need to confirm someones membership in the international society? (we would ask their permission before disclosing this)

If you want confirmation that someone attends the University, thats a matter for the University registry. Also we do not issue ISIC International Student Identity Cards, only membership cards for our society.

    Hope this helps!
